When I was first introduced to Young Living essential oils, a friend I trusted shared the products with me, and that was my introduction to essential oils. At first, I dismissed “essential oils pitch.” I figured it was just another Tupperware, Avon, MaryKay or Amway type situations.
From the moment I started talking to her one Christmas several years ago to today, I had my eyes opened to the world of essential oils. I fell in love with the oils, Young Living products, and their overall commitment to providing us with the best possible oils ever! I fell hard in love…and I happy to say that I am still in love.

As I continued using the products, I began to understand that Young Living or YL (that is what we call it in the Facebook oily chat groups) was much more than just a “kit” that you buy and throw every single oil in the diffuser. It is Peppermint oil for head tension, it is lemon for freshening the home, it was tea tree oil for skin care. I was blown away when I learned about the farms such as the Lavender farm in Utah, Highland flats tree farm in Idaho, or the Australian Cypress farm in Australia.
Another thing I loved was that the Young Living farms are open for visits. Oh, send me to France to frolic amongst the Lavender, or to Ecuador to the Palo Santo farm, or to Oman to visit the Frankincense oil farm. The possibilities are endless.

Many farms host seasonal events, tours, and harvest experiences that allow visitors to see the growing and distillation process firsthand. For people who enjoy essential oils, these experiences provide a unique opportunity to learn more about the plants and practices behind the products.
I think seeing the farms in person would make the connection between the field and the bottle even more meaningful.
